The testing process is anonymous. There is nothing in your sample that could be used to identify you (unless of course the person trying to do the identifying has a copy of your DNA already, in which case it’s probably the single best way to know it’s you!)
To ensure your results get correctly matched to your iamYiam account, there’s a unique number attached to the sample which you use to register your kit online. This link is safely encrypted inside your iamYiam account which no one can access without your log-in details. The sample itself is then destroyed after analysis.
You remain the sole owner of your individual genetic data.
iamYiam has the right only to anonymously pool the genetic information generated from thousands of users for statistical studies and research purposes (and of course we do not sell any information on to third parties).
Your ordering information (shipping address, credit card information, etc.) is stored separately from your health data, and connecting the two would require breaching several layers of state-of-the-art security.
