In short, no. Your genes do not change, so there’s no need to test them again.
A DNA test is a once-in-a-lifetime investment – which means the sooner the better, as you get to live with this unchanging knowledge about yourself for as long as possible!
However, while your genes don’t change, the research around them does. New connections between genetic traits and their potential effects will be uncovered, therefore you may want to contact us again in a few years for an update on our latest analysis panel. At that point, you may need to do another test.
It is worth noting that while your code remains mostly unchanged, how that code is expressed does evolve, for example, because of age, environment, or disease. Not every gene gets activated (expressed). The expression of a gene will vary throughout our lives, depending on lifestyle factors. Whether or not a gene is expressed also explains why there is not always a direct link between the code (genotype) and its physical manifestation (phenotype).
